Do not fear the corner !

Do not fear the corner ! The number one rider related  accidents are usually a car turning left in front of  them . The number two is  miscalculating  the corner . For new and old riders this is mostly what happens . Here is  the  scenario . Rider enters the corner at too high of speed. Then missed  the apex  and over shoots the exit , panics then crashes .

Misjudging  a corner  could have  fatal  consequences . First we must understand mechanics of a corner . There are mainly  three parts . The entrance , the apex , the exit .

To enter the corner we use out in out. Before the corner  we need to have the approach speed right. Its best to slow down for the entrance . Try to keep a steady speed  through the  corner . We come in at the apex . Coming out of the apex we can accelerate  or maintain speed .

Not all corners are the same . But the approach is the same for the most part . When your staring out  its best not to go above your ability  . Work on being smooth . Slow is smooth , smooth is fast . Try to pick  your line  and track well through the corner .

I saved this for the last . YOU GO WHERE YOU LOOK!  When we are coming into the corner we need to look well into the corner . When we enter we are looking at the apex , when we get to the apex we are looking at the  exit . Some corners may have multiple apex's . If you find yourself going over the yellow line  your most likely  going too fast . Remember YOU GO WHERE YOU LOOK! cant stress this enough . Some will have easier times with short corners some with long corners . Keep in mind when cars are coming the other way don't look right at  them  . Try to ignore them and focus on the corner only .When you look around while in a corner  the bike will respond to that and your  riding line will be all over the place . And in some cases might get your into trouble .If you get caught off guard and  hit the corner a little too fast DON'T PANIC !  Look where you want to go  and just focus on that . Most of the time you will make it . Then learn from your mistake try not to make it again lol . If you hesitate in  a corner  you could crash . So keep focus  . Practise makes perfect and takes time . Don't  rush it . Over time you will get better at it .Ride well ride safe take care .
