I now pronounce you committed  to the corner !

I now pronounce you committed  to the corner ! Here is the  scenario  you have a new rider with a group and  there off to the twistys . The new rider is  in the middle of the  pack ,  at the  front  the most experienced  and  the rear  another experienced  rider to over watch the group .Then heaven  curve after curve . The  front of the group  speeds up  zooms through corner after corner  like pros. The new rider enters the first of  three   consecutive  corners. First corner  speed is ok  apex  is normal  then speeds out of the first corner  entering  the second corner a little faster. The rider still  is on an ok line  then slightly over shoots  the apex then speeds up out  of the  second  corner too fast for the third  corner . Entering the  third  corner  the new rider  now is  about to over shoot  the apex by a lot , after the apex  the rider now realise they have over shot the corner and  going  too fast  and about to cross into the other lane .If the rider is lucky they don't hit an on coming  car and straiten up the bike  slow a bit  and back on track , no harm no foul . Now   other things that sometimes happen ,  the rider panics looks at the ditch locks up the brakes and  goes  right into the ditch ( you go where you look ) target fixation. Next scenario  is the rider panics  and tries to  cut  back into the corner and spins out the bike.

So how can we fix this ? First we have to understand  the  corner and how to enter . The rule is out, in  , out .  First if your a new rider SLOW DOWN BEFORE THE CORNER! Second try to keep your speed constant , do not  speed up , but if you have to let off a bit  do it smoothly. Three  , look well into the corner , at the beginning  of the corner look at the apex  when you get to the apex  look at the  exit . Slow is smooth , smooth is fast. Learn your bike , know  your limit . NEVER CROSS THE YELLOW LINE ! Try to maintain  a line through the curve. Over time you will  get better . But  don't try the moto GP stuff  when your  new to riding , those guys  have different  setups on there  bikes  and  have a lot of skill . You cant start there  you need to learn the basics  first . So learn as much as you can about  cornering   then go practise . Have fun  ride well be safe.
