YOU GO WHERE YOU LOOK !
YOU GO WHERE YOU LOOK ! This is one of the most important things for a rider to learn. 95% of all input to a rider is visual . It takes time to learn to commit to a corner . And on busy traffic roads its easy to get distracted buy oncoming cars. We have to learn to see through the cars and to our point of reference . When you pick your line look well ahead . Do not look where you are look where you want too be. At low speed we need to learn to trust the bike and let it do its job while we look where we want to be .
Target fixation is what gets us into real trouble . Several times you can find accidents where two bikes crash , the first bike crashes and the second bike follows .Why? Because the second rider is looking at the rider ahead .
So how can we fix this problem? Well first stay sharp stay in your skill level . If you feel your over shooting your corner just focus on where you want to be , you just might make it .Leaning to ignore cars flickering past you on a tight twistys is a little harder .But it can be done . After time will find you are more disciplined . This is a big topic and much more can be said . Its good to reminder our self's "You go where you look ! " every time we ride .Ride well ride safe take care .
